CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI)

Terms of Reference (summary):

ITC is implementing the Trade & Private Sector Development Programme Zimbabwe, which is financed by the European Union. Within the capacity building activities, ITC intends to procure laboratory equipment for the testing laboratories of the Standards Association of Zimbabwe (SAZ).

In this regard, ITC is seeking the services of an experienced vendor to supply laboratory equipment to SAZ laboratories in Harare, Zimbabwe.  The equipment may include amongst others liquid chromatography – mass spectrometer (LC-MS), environmental chamber for shelf life determination, biological oxygen kit, moisture meter, pH meter, paint testing equipment, hydrometers and laboratory fridges.

The ideal service provider/supplier should also have:

1. justification of references for the supply of laboratory testing equipment for similar laboratories in the region;
2. the expertise to install, commission and train the personnel in the use of the equipment;
3. good and accessible after sales service, including spare parts, for any necessary maintenance and repair of the equipment supplied; and
4. good technical support to advise the laboratory personnel on any issue concerning the installation, use and maintenance of equipment even after the warranty period.
