This refers to fabric or vinyl upholstery combined with robust foam padding, not integral foam upholstery.

New clarification added: Clarification Request 31:Can you please advise us more clearly since we can not find it in the requirements of the Section II.UNOPS Clarification Response 31:If your question pertains to Lot 3, for items where the worktop is specified, it should follow the requirements as per the technical specifications. This applies to items: 3.9, 3.10, 3.11, 3.12, 3.13, 3.14, and 3.15. For all other items, the material for the top should match the material specified for the casing of the item.

The amended documents can be found in eSourcing the Documents section tab.2. The Checklist tab in the eSourcing is amended and the Form E: Bid Security Form submission requirement has been removed. 3. Deadline for clarifications is extended until 05 February 2025.4. According to the manufacturers, DRALON fabric only offers 14,000 Martindale cycles, while you have requested a minimum of 40,000 Martindale cycles. Worktop: Trespa Top Lab Plus, PASTEL GREY instead ral9003Cabinets: Laminated MDF, D123 Light GreyFrames: epoxy painted CRS, RAL 7040(b) For items 2.1 and 2.2 (C-frames), there is no knee panel visible on the frames, even though there are no suspended cabinets. Should knee panels be added? We strongly recommend this for a better appearance.(c) For items 2.2 Are there no undercabinets to hide the sink outlets? Or, for the remaining areas, should knee panels be added for a better appearance ?(d) Item 3.20 indicates that the casing must be made of high-density chipboard coated with high-quality melamine resin. However, in the paragraph above, it is mentioned as MDF, which aligns with the specifications of other cabinet items.Can we consider using laminated MDF with PVC lipping for all items, or is there a specific reason for the variation in this item?UNOPS Clarification Response 24: Please be adviced that:(a) The specified colors must conform to the following:Worktop: RAL 9003 (Signal White), with an acceptable tolerance of ±5% in shade variation.Cabinets: RAL 7011 (Iron Grey), with an acceptable tolerance of ±5% in shade variation.Frames: RAL 7011 (Iron Grey), with an acceptable tolerance of ±5% in shade variation.(b) For items 2.1 and 2.2 (C-frames), knee panels are currently not specified in the provided requirements. Offering 4 legs would require a significant design change.Item 3.12: The furniture can be placed directly on the ground. UNOPS Clarification Response 18:Performance Guarantee is needed prior to the Contract signature and is pre-condition for it. The signatory party of the Contract is the entity to submit the Performance Guarantee. If your company is submitting the bid as a joint venture (or similar), please ensure that signatory party to the contract - leading company, should submit the bid and later on Perfromance Guarantee.

(e.g. purity degree 2.0 or 5.0 or 6.0).We assume it is Natural gas as technical gas (2.0) but there is no hint given.UNOPS Clarification Response 019: Please be informed that the gases typically used in the laboratory include Nitrogen (N₂), Carbon Dioxide (CO₂), Compressed Air, Hydrogen (H₂), Natural Gas (Methane), and Oxygen (O₂).Regarding gas purity, the planned furniture setup, including the Island Bench Service Spine (both closed with blind panels and open), is intended for teaching laboratories. The required gas purity for this setup ranges from 2.0 to 3.0 (99.9%). This level of purity is generally adequate for educational demonstrations and routine laboratory activities.

As a result, this requirement will be removed from the Checklist tab.Answer to Q2 - An internal Manufacturer's Policy regarding Health and Safety is required. Alternatively, the Manufacturer's ISO certification related to Health and Safety can be submitted. Either one of these two documents will be considered sufficient for the sustainability criteria.

New clarification added: Clarification Request 08:The manufacturer is asking:Cabinet colors—manufacturers of chipboard or similar board products have their own codes, like light gray D123, which we use as standard. It is similar to RAL 7035. The best we can do is state exactly that—similar to RAL 7035 or what is required. We can not offer cabinets in RAL 9003 or RAL 7011.UNOPS Clarification Response 08:Kindly note that we understand that your standard cabinet color, light gray D123 (similar to RAL 7035), is the closest option you can provide and that you cannot offer cabinets in RAL 9003 or RAL 7011. As previously stated, the color should be within a ±2 tolerance. Given this, we will consider the similarity to RAL 7035 acceptable for this project, provided it meets the stated tolerance requirement.
