Long-term agreement for the repair, replacement, and construction of asphalted roads, graveled hardstand areas, and related safety road accessories to the United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC, Brindisi).

The United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC), with its Headquarters located in Brindisi (Italy) seeks an appropriately qualified contractor for the establishment of a long-term contract for the repair, replacement, and construction of asphalted roads, graveled hardstand areas, and related safety road accessories at its Premises. Planned Contract Duration: - 3 years, with an option to extend for 2 additional 1-year periods Planned Location for delivery of Services: UNGSC, Brindisi-Italy An indication of the works to be performed are as follows, however, not limited to: - Provision of Safety Documentation (POS) and Geological Reports; - Removal of existing asphalt or aggregates, excavation, preparation of sub-grade and backfilling with adequate materials; - Asphalt roadworks (construction, reconstruction, and repairs, including base and wearing courses) (approximately 6440 square meters per year) categorized as follows: Category 1: Construction of new asphalted road(s) and/or area(s); Category 2: Removal of damaged asphalt and base course and re-construction of asphalted road(s) and/or area(s); Category 3 (types A and B): scarify the damaged asphalted surface. Lay and compact a new layer of asphalt wearing course (30-80mm); Category 4: Lay and compact a new layer of wearing course (30mm); Category 5: Construction of new graveled hardstand area (400mm). - Road marking and painting with proper equipment and material (approximately 1200 linear meters per year); - Provision and use of machinery and equipment adequate to carry out the required asphalting works; - Provision of pedestrian poles and barriers; - Replacement of manholes, of various types (approximately 12 units per year); - Provision and installation of vertical signalization, poles, and barriers in compliance with Italian/European applicable codes. - Base course trials and tests. At the Bid submission, vendors will be requested to provide evidence of compliance with these requirements and any applicable standards. Details of the technical evaluation criteria and other requirements will be provided under the Invitation to Bid at a later stage. To express interest, vendors must be registered with the UN Secretariat via the United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM) at a minimum of the Basic Level. Vendors not registered with the UN Secretariat via UNGM will be ineligible to participate in the subsequent Invitation to Bid (ITB) stage. An Expression of Interest does not guarantee participation in the request for quotation as only suitably qualified vendors will be invited to participate.
