Description
The United Nations is seeking expressions of interest from companies interested to participate in a solicitation process identifying a suitable vendor for a long-term agreement on the provision of order fulfillment and sales support services to the UN Postal Administration (UNPA), headquartered in New York. The Contractor shall provide accurate order fulfilment and sales support services ensuring timely and error-free production, assembly, packing and dispatching of UNPA products to customers around the world, as well as smooth and optimal functioning of the UNPA stamp counter in New York. The Contractor shall propose and provide adequate level of human resources to achieve the operational targets set periodically based on the UNPA programme of issue and production schedule. Contractor's personnel will be assigned to cover the following groups of activities: a) Supervision, prioritization, picking and assigning of orders to junior clerks; b) Production, order fulfilment and processing of outgoing mails; c) Sales, data entry and customer service supports, as well as; d) Light clerical duties such as receiving calls, recording and/or entering orders for customers, receiving and inspecting packages, sorting packages and counting products, collecting and moving items, and assisting in the physical counting of stock, etc. The Contractor will be responsible for the performances of all personnel, inventory and safekeeping of UNPA products assigned to these personnel, as well as effective merchandising and display of UN stamps and products at the stamp counter. The Contractor shall maintain full responsibility of the management of their personnel, including payment of salaries and emoluments, hiring and replacing of these personnel; as well as resolving any personnel related issues, including labour disputes, union and collective bargaining, etc.
