Description
The United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) invites qualified interested firms to submit their Expression of Interest (EOI) to participate in the upcoming competitive bidding exercise for the provision of in-house maintenance services and associated works regarding electrical & mechanical installations at the UN Complex, Gigiri, Nairobi, Kenya. The UN Complex hosts installations that are critical for the normal functioning of the organization, with the electrical and mechanical infrastructure being among them. In this context, the services of a suitably qualified and experienced contractor, capable of maintaining these services to international standards, are being sought. The contract resulting from the intended tender process will have an implementation period of three years, with the possibility of extending for two additional periods of one year each (3+1+1), contingent upon the selected contractor's performance. The scope of work will entail: •Provision of In-House Electrical and Mechanical Services Maintenance Team: The selected contractor will be required to provide, manage, and maintain an adequately and suitably qualified labor force, fully stationed at the UN compound. •Provision of Electrical and Mechanical Services Materials/Spare Parts: The contractor will supply materials and spare parts for electrical and mechanical services that may not be available in UNON's stores. •Provision of Specialized Labor for Equipment Servicing and Repairs: Various critical electrical distribution system equipment will need to be serviced by specialized technicians. •Monitoring of Electricity Supply and Usage Quality: The contractor will be responsible for monitoring the quality of electricity supply and usage. •Other General Works: Additional tasks related to electrical and mechanical installations will be communicated in the tender documents. While carrying out the above-listed services, the selected contractor will be required to provide all necessary tools, test equipment, safety equipment, warning signs, and consumables, and to fully maintain these tools and equipment at its own cost. Complete details of the requirements will be provided in the tender documents, which will be issued to bidders after this request for Expression of Interest (EOI) is closed.
