RFQ-2024-41 National Writer to document the contributions of the South African National AIDS Council Civil Society Forum (CSF) for the period: 2017 - 2024.
The South African National AIDS Council (SANAC) was established by the Inter-ministerial Committee in 2002 to build consensus across government, civil society and all other stakeholders to drive an enhanced country response to the scourges of HIV and TB and STIs. In SANAC Civil Society is represented through the Civil Society Forum (CSF) composed of 18 civil society sectors. Collectively the 18 sectors represent the voice of civil society in the AIDS Council Structure. The CSF’s goal is to strengthen the civil society sector’s response to HIV, TB and STIs and to ensure that civil society effectively contributes to the realisation of the goals of the NSP. Its mission is to ensure that South Africa is on track to eliminate HIV, TB and STIs as public health threats by 2030, with a vision of a South Africa free from the burden of HIV, TB and STIs.
The National Lead Consultant will:
a) Finalize an annotated outline of the publication.
b) Collect and analyse relevant background information for the publication.
c) Conduct interviews with key stakeholders and turn them into content for the publication.
d) Draft and finalise the publication based on the abovementioned information.
The look and feel of the report will follow contemporary UNAIDS branding guidelines, in terms of font, brand and voice colors and other elements of layout. The publication will take the form of a soft-cover coffee table book. The tone will be accessible to a wide audience, appealing and free of jargon and technical language. The body text will be accompanied by text boxes, infographics, and photographs to ensure an appealing and high-end look and feel.
The full version of the coffee table book will be approximately 70 -100 pages in length, including photographs, infographics, text boxes, side bars, pull quotes and other features.
Duration: The maximum period of contract will be for a maximum of 40 days from 23 September – 29 November 2024.
