Description
The United Nations Secretariat operates a highly integrated access control and surveillance infrastructure network system at its New York headquarters (‘UNHQ’), which includes the main UN Campus at 405 East 42nd Street, New York, as well as several annex buildings in the NY metropolitan area. In this context, the United Nations Procurement Division ('UNPD'), is currently inviting expressions of interest (REOI) from potential vendors for a future Request for Proposals ('RFP') regarding the provision of support, maintenance and installation services required by the scoped infrastructure. This initiative aims to gather interest from vendors and inform about the upcoming procurement process. Further details will be provided via the Scope of Work ('SOW') of the upcoming RFP. The scope of work involves providing support, maintenance, and installation services for the security system infrastructure at UNHQ. The selected Contractor will be responsible for comprehensive preventive and remedial maintenance and support services for all software systems and installed hardware. Additionally, they will be expected to extend these services to any new equipment and systems installed by either the Contractor or third parties after the initial warranty period expires. The Contractor will be required to assign a team of technicians to the United Nations, who will report to a designated UN Manager. The educational/expertise requirements for the designated technicians will be specificied in the Scope of Work (SOW) of the upcoming RFP. The Contractor is also expected to provide basic training and guidance to core UN technical staff for the operation and maintenance of equipment and systems, which will be listed in the SOW of the upcoming RFP, in connection with routine upgrades and updates. The Contract duration will be up to five (5) years, comprising an initial term and optional extension periods. The duration of each term will be detailed in the RFP.
