Design and deliver tailored trainings on ‘Gender, Child and Youth Sensitivity in the context of climate change, migration and rural livelihoods’ for intended stakeholders including state government officials, agricultural extension staff, project implementing partners CSOs/NGOs, in the targeted project sites of coastal Odisha. The specific objectives of the assignment include: 1.Designing and developing tailored training material on Gender, Youth and Child sensitivity that integrate climate change, migration and rural livelihoods considerations and that are context-specific to the cultural and socio-economic conditions of coastal communities in Odisha 2.Tailoring the training material to the capacity needs of: a) implementing partners including NGOs, CSOs and government officials; b) Policy and decision-makers at local and state level; c) Agriculture extension staff; 3.Designing an inclusive and participatory approach and an effective implementation plan to deliver the trainings to the stakeholders above mentioned; 4.Delivering the Gender, Youth and Child sensitivity trainings. The objectives of this assignment relate to all agreed outcomes of the joint programme, specifically: • Output 1.3- Enhanced awareness of agricultural extension services of the climate-migration-agriculture linkages and improved capacities to support rural households to adopt climate-resilient practices and technologies through gender- and age-sensitive approaches. Activity 1.3.1 - Training agricultural extension service providers to i); raise their awareness of the interlinkages between migration, agriculture and climate change; and ii) enable them to tailor their activities on the needs of target groups, especially women, youth and returning migrants. • Output 3.1. - Enhancing capacities of key stakeholders, including policy and decision makers, to address the interlinkages between migration, agriculture and climate change and the related needs of vulnerable and marginalized groups. Activity 3.1.1. - Conducting gender, youth and child-sensitivity training for state- and local-level stakeholders, implementing partners and project staff to improve use of an intersectionality lens in programmes and policies.
