Construction work to refurbish Congo Building External Facades and Cantilevered Roof Slab Soffit

The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia seeks a qualified contractor with valid licenses to express their interest to be engaged for Construction Work for refurbish Congo Building External Facades and Cantilevered Roof Slab Soffit. 1) Background 1.1 Introduction of the Project 1.1.1 UNECA desires to execute the external refurbishment of the Congo building in its compound located in Kirkos Sub City, Menelik II avenue. 1.1.2 The Congo building refurbishment is intended to be resolved by reinstating the western façade cantilevered roof slab soffit both North and South wings, repair, and paint western façade cantilevered roof slab soffit of the central section- all located on the seventh floor of the building and restore all sections on the facades where the mosaic finish is non existing and/ or is loose. 1.2 Work Description Project includes the following construction works/ activities: ‐ 1.2.1 Installation of a cantilevered working/ standing platform 1.2.2 Provision and installation of vertical transportation systems on both North and South wings 1.2.3 Removal of leftover plastering from the soffit of the cantilevered roof slab 1.2.4 Application of bonding agent to the soffit of the cantilevered roof slab 1.2.5 Application of cement plastering the soffit of the cantilevered roof slab 1.2.6 Application of gypsum plaster and painting to the soffit of the cantilevered roof slab 1.2.7 Application of gypsum plaster and painting of the central section of the cantilevered roof slab around the barrel vault roof sky lights 1.2.8 Repair works- All façades of Congo building and bridges connecting Congo and Niger buildings 1.2.9 Bidder are required to considering both design proposal for the platform, anchoring of the vertical transportation system, installation of cradle, and all the construction works.\ Companies expressing interest should note that this Request for Expression of Interest (REOI) serves as pre-qualification of the companies that will be invited to participate in the tender process .Intrested firms will be invited to the tender by "Request for Proposal (RFP)" at later stage and the detail requirement will be further specfied in the RFP document. UNECA reserves the right to change or cancel the requirements at any time during the EOI/ or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to this EOI does not automatically guarantee that your company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued. The RFP and any subsequent commitment to contract will be issued in accordance with UN rules and regulations. UNECA is precluded from entering into contract with a vendor that is not registered with United Nations Global Market Place(UNGM). Thus, only those vendors who are registered or provisionaly registered or have started their registration process in UNGM will be eligible to receive the solicitation document RFP.
