UNICEF Angola is hereby inviting interested companies to apply for the following:
Summary:
UNICEF Angola intends to build water boreholes in the communities across two municipalities Huila Province. To that end, the services and expertise of qualified engineering or business companies are requested to:
- Supply Grundfos 252, 122 and/or 062 models and/or Leo 2/7 (or equivalent) submersible water pumps models and their respective cables and solar panels.
- Installation of these pumps in selected communities from Chibia and Humpata Municipalities which works should start in June and completed latest early November, 2024.
Outputs:
Fully Installed and functional water pumps in about 26 water points from the communities in the municipalities of Humpata and Chibia. Exact locations details will be shared with shortlisted companies.

Submission of detailed specifications and indicating technical capabilities to meet or exceed the requirements within set timeframe
Clear specifications of the equipment to be supplied, their origin and warranties, personnel, and how the services/works would be carried out to meet the set timing.
Knowledge of the Region or partnerships thereof
Has the company been involved in similar projects in Angola

Submission details:
- Interested companies are requested to submit technical details and clear specifications of the systems they would be able supply, including qualifications of key leading technical personnel to carry out the works and or supervise the installation of the pumps and solar panels;

- Expression of interest and statements of qualification must be delivered through the above email address not later than 18 June 2024.
- Companies may also submit any other relevant details to substantiate their applications as necessary.
Interested Companies must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochure, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Companies may associate to enhance their qualifications.
Companies/Consultants will be selected in accordance with the procedure set out in the UNICEF Procurement Guidelines and UNICEF Financial Rules and Regulations.
EOI from suppliers failing to provide the requested information will be disregarded. Invitations to bid and any subsequent purchase order will be issued in accordance with the rule and procedures of UNICEF.
This EOI does not entail any commitment on the part of UNICEF either financial or otherwise. UNICEF reserve the right to accept or reject any or all EOI without incurring any obligation to inform the affected applicant/s of the grounds.
