RFP-2024-20- Consultancy on Drug Policy Reform
The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to enter into a contractual agreement with a successful bidder and select a suitable contractor to support UNAIDS’ work in relation to the decriminalisation of drug use and possession of personal use, and the implementation of the International Guidelines on Human Rights and Drug Policy and the United Nations System Common Position Supporting the Implementation of the International Drug Control Policy through effective Inter-Agency Collaboration (UN Common Position). The contractor will deliver the following products and be responsible for supporting the following activities:
- Lead on the development of a UNAIDS’ publication and training materials on good practices in the decriminalisation of drug use and possession for personal use in relation to HIV outcomes.
- Provide logistical support to a meeting of relevant high-level United Nations personnel in Geneva, Switzerland, to further the implementation of UN Common Position and the International Guidelines, including as rapporteur.
- Provide remote technical support to two to four UNAIDS country offices in post-meeting follow-up activities as required.
- Grant management including periodic technical and financial reporting and tracking of funds.
The consultancy will commence on 1 June 2024 and end on 31 December 2025. The consultancy will be part time for a total of approximately 70 days, with the majority of the work taking place between 1 June 2024 and 15 December 2024. The work will be conducted remotely.
