Description
Background: In 2004, the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) in Bangkok, Thailand, had applied blast-resistant film to all building glazing panels that could pose a threat to its staff, as per MOSS requirement. After 19 years, the current film is tearing out and showing signs of expiration. Requirement: ESCAP is therefore, seeking a qualified company who is able to replace the existing shatter-resistant film with a high-tensile-strength shatter-resistant film as approved by DSS, on all existing glazing panels at the United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC), the link bridges both from the Secretariat Builidng to UNCC and from the Services Building to the UNCC. The required safety film shall also have high UV protection rated i.e. blocks UV rays and reduces heat transafer to improve the safety and comfort environment of the building for energy savings. Location of the ESCAP premises: The UN Building, Rajadamnern Nok Avenue, Bangkok 10200 Thailand. Project duration: 180 calendar days (6 months) and not expected to exceed 240 calendar days (8 months).
