Description
The United Nations Mission in the Republic of South Sudan (UNMISS) hereby solicit Expression of Interest (EOI) from qualified companies to provide Airport Ground Handling Services to UNMISS/United Nations in Entebbe, Uganda, as stated herein. Description of General Requirements: 1. The Contractor shall provide ground-handling services on an "as and when required" basis to satisfy UNMISS' operational requirements at Entebbe Airport, Uganda, as follows: - Material handling equipment for flight/service operations - all equipment and operations shall be in compliance with relevant ICAO, IATA, UN and the Ugandan CAA rules and regulations; - Cargo handling (in/out bound) including dangerous goods; - Baggage and passenger handling (departing/arriving/transit passengers) including transportation between aircraft and terminal; - Aircraft technical support - aircraft towing/pushback; aircraft marshalling/start; ground power unit services; 2. The fleet of aircrafts operated by UNMISS includes but not limited to CRJ-200; ATR-72; DASH-7; MI-26; MI-8/17; and L – 410. 3. The volume of UNMISS flights movements per annum, in and out of Entebbe Airport, is approximately 814 operated flights. 4. The company must in all terms comply with all relevant International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), International Aviation Transport Association (IATA) and Ugandan Civil Aviation Regulations pertaining to airport operations, aircraft ground handling, and passenger/baggage/cargo handling.
