Long Term Agreement (LTA) for the provision of Door-to-Door Courier Services for the Personal Effects (PE) of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) personnel.

1. The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) has a requirement for the Establishment of a Long-Term Agreement (LTA) for the Provision of door-to-door Courier Services for the Personal Effects (PE) of UNIFIL Personnel, for an initial period of Tthree (3) years with an option for additional extension for Two-One year period (1+1). 2. In this regards, the successful Contractor shall ensure the following services: a. Door-to-door courier service for the personal effects of Uniformed Personnel from Member States to/from UNIFIL and UNIFIL Civilian Staff shipping to/from various destinations of the world. b. Shipping of Personal Effects (PE) between Middle East (Lebanon) and the continents of Africa, Europe, Asia & Australia, North America and South America. c. Collection of shipments in close coordination with the national authorities in the countries of origin. d. Communication with the UN designated offices for follow-up and clarifications on all issues related to the shipments. e. Complete all necessary documentation for customs clearance and shipment of the personal effects at the place of origin and destination. f. Arrange for customs clearance at the place of departure and at the place of final destination. g. Provide a web-based tracking system, customized to UN requirements, accessible world-wide. Further technical details and specific UNIFIL requirements will be outlined in the Scope of Work, which will be included in the forthcoming solicitation document. 3. UNIFIL will undertake a competitive solicitation exercise shortly and will consider inviting those companies have expressed their interest and provided initial relevant information as to their ability to fulfill UNIFIL’s requirement. Please note, this is not an invitation for submission of a price proposal. Note: Companies not registered with United Nations Global Marketplace (UMGM) cannot be included in the List of Invitees.
