Capacity development for inland fisheries management as the process whereby people, organization and society as a whole unleash, strengthen, create, adapt, and maintain capacity over time. Capacity in inland fisheries management itself as the ability of people, organization and society as a whole to manage inland fisheries successfully. The achievement in management of inland fisheries depends on capacity development successfully. Management of sustainable Inland fisheries can contribute to the SDGs goals. IFISH Project conduct capacity development for three levels, inter alia: i) individual: improving individual skills, knowledge and performance through training, experiences, and motivation, ii) organizational: improving organizational performance through strategies, plans, rules and regulations, partnerships, leadership, strengthening organizational systems, processes and roles and responsibilities; iii) Enabling environment: improving policy framework to address inland fisheries management, economic, policy, cultural aspects in a coherent and mutual reinforcing. IFish Project collaborate with the Indonesian Government, especially MMAF in implementing project related to inland fisheries management. There are three mains’ objectives to achieve the goals i.e. Planning, Implementation and Exit Strategy. Capacity development is to improve managers in implementation of inland fisheries and to achieve the successful of exit strategy. The outcomes within the scope of this work are to a. Facilitate the implementation of capacity development on inland fisheries management based on EAFM/EAA approach in 435 of FMA. b. Conduct capacity development to the appropriate participants/audience at national, provincial and district level especially the area of 435 of FMA. c. Provide report related to the impact and beneficiaries of activities.
