United Nations Office at Nairobi (hereinafter referred to as UNON) on behalf of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT) Lebanon Programme is inviting interested vendors to submit an Expression of Interest for the anticipated solicitation exercise to establish a Contract for the Rehabilitation of a parking space in Tyre, South Lebanon The scope of work mainly consists of but not limited to infrastructure and civil, mechanical, sanitary, electrical, and landscaping works: •Infrastructure works: upgrade of existing sewage, water, and electricity networks and connecting these services to municipal networks. •Pavement and superstructure work: upgrading the pavement / impermeable ground cover, implementing sidewalks, road/parking markings, etc. •Parking equipment and facilities: installation of guard office, ticketing machines and access cards, electronic gate, signage, etc. •Electrical works: installation of the customized solar system to provide power supply to the different parking facilities, installation of solar street lighting systems on poles, electrical works which will include but are not limited to wiring, Single Distribution Boards, Main Distribution Boards, etc. •Landscaping works: implementation of greenery such as shrubs, bushes, and native trees, connecting the landscape to irrigation sources and networks, implementation of wall painting designs, etc. •Conduct necessary training for Tyre municipality focal points to operate and maintain the installed services and goods. •Adopt and implement all quality control and quality assurance measures that will be provided by UN-Habitat during the implementation of works. •Assessment, mitigate and monitor any environmental and social risk that might be triggered by the project. •Liaise and coordinate with the UN-Habitat communication unit to film, record and archive all site activities. Please note that this request for EOI is not an invitation for submission of tenders. The complete detail of the requirement will be issued to bidders after this request for EOI is closed. UNON reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement of this EOI at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Submitting a reply to this REOI does not therefore automatically guarantee that your company will be considered for issuance of the solicitation documents. Only vendors who, in the UN's sole discretion, are deemed eligible and qualified, upon completion of an objective evaluation of the EOI submissions, may receive the final tender solicitation documents UNON invites companies to express their interest by filling out the vendor response form and sending it either electronically or via email.
