Request for Expression of Interest (REOI)

for Supply of Salt test kits

Deadline: 1 December 2012

 

Eligible suppliers are herewith invited to indicate their interest in taking part in forthcoming UNICEF tender for global supply of of Salt test kits, for measuring iodine content in edible salt iodised/fortified with potassium iodate (KIO3) and potassium iodide (KI). For this purpose, interested parties are invited to send their Expression of Interest (EOI) to UNICEF Supply Division.

 

UNICEF foresees the issuance of tender for Salt Test Kits during the month of December 2012. The goal of the forthcoming tender is to establish Long Term Arrangements for supply of product to UNICEF country programs worldwide for the initial duration of two years (2012 – 2013) with a possibility of extension up to twelve months.

 

To express your interest in participating in UNICEF solicitation for Ready to Use Therapeutic Food, please contact Mr. Jan Komrska, jkomrska@unicef.org and submit your company and contact details.

 

Please note the following important information:

1. Do not send your prices at this stage.
2. Do not send your products’ specifications at this stage.
3. Suppliers should assess whether they can provide a product that complies with product specification in UNICEF catalogue under product name S0008193     Salt test kit,salt fortified w/IODATE and S0008194 Salt test kit,salt fortified w/IODIDE.

4. Replying to this REOI cannot be considered as an automatic guarantee of receipt of solicitations in the future.
5. It is to be noted that UNICEF may prefer to contract with manufacturers rather than traders.

6. UNICEF reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement any time during the solicitation of the EOI.
7. UNICEF reserves the right to require compliance with additional terms and conditions.
8. Suppliers are also referred to the United Nations Global Marketplace (www.ungm.org) under which any company must successfully register in order to qualify for any contract awards with UNICEF.
