Description
The United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) in Brindisi (Italy) intends to establish a contract for the provision of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)/ International Air Transport Association ( IATA) and International Maritime Organization (IMO) DANGEROUS GOODS (DG) Certification Training to be delivered in the English language, for United Nations (UN) staff members in Brindisi (Italy) classroom-based and alternatively online through live tutor-led webinars for two years on an “as required basis”. The Dangerous Goods Certification training is required for staff previously certified, requiring re-certification, and first-time students. The offered Dangerous Goods training must: 1. Be ready and available to be delivered off-the-shelf starting from June 2023 through June 2025; 2. Be delivered by an Approved Dangerous Goods Instructor, accredited by a National Aviation Authority and or by ICAO and or by IATA; 3. Comply with the latest editions of the following Air and Sea Dangerous Goods Regulations: a) the ICAO Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air; b) the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR); c) the IMO - International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code and Supplement. 4. Be delivered in the English language, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 to 16:00 hrs., to a class of a minimum of 6 to a maximum of 15 trainees; 5. Include an examination to test the trainees’ acquired knowledge and skills on the topics of the attended course; and, 6. Award to UN trainees ICAO/IATA DG-compliant Training Certifications and IMO-compliant Training Completion Certificates. The UNGSC reserves the right to award contracts based on a split of the requirements as it deems in the Organization's best interest and the Vendor's training delivery availability, that is, a contract for DGR and IMDG courses classroom-based and another contract for DGR and IMDG online. GENERAL NOTES The full technical specifications and administrative instructions will be provided with a solicitation document to be issued at a later stage after the closing date for this EOI. This REOI does not constitute a solicitation. The UNGSC reserves the right to change or cancel the requirements at any time during the REOI and solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to this REOI does not automatically guarantee that your company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation documents when issued.
