Description
The United Nations has a requirement for the provision of a Push-To-Talk (PTT) communication technology system over Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite constellation with low latency. This service will have worldwide coverage. The communication technology system will provide emergency voice communications to the UN Peacekeeping and Political missions in different geographical areas all over the world. The scope of requirements is summarized as follows: 1: Equipment and accessories: This is to provide equipment compatible with the offered satellite services. The list of equipment and accessories will be mainly composed of: -Handheld IP67 devices for field use without SIM card -Base station for indoor offices -Mobile for vehicle mounting 2: Related services: This is to procure subscription to voice and messaging services using the LEO satellite constellation with worldwide coverage and low latency. It should include access to a centralized platform to manage the devices. 3: Centralized monitoring and tracking service: This is to track the location of all the devices. 4: Training: Training should be included for the related services and centralized monitoring and tracking service. Accordingly, this Request for Expression of Interest (REOI) aims to identify qualified vendors with verified technical and financial capacity to provide the above-stated goods and services in a satisfactory manner. Please note that this is not an invitation for the submission of a bid and/or proposal. The successful vendor(s) will enter into an initial three-year contract with the option of extension for an additional two one-year periods. Detailed requirements, specifications, and evaluation criteria will be provided in a formal solicitation document to be issued at a later stage.
