Description

Under this exercise, we regard green business and financing as a concept that combines the area of business (oriented towards economic growth) and finance (financial industry) with environmental behaviour (improvement and protection of the environment). In this regard, promoting green business and financing implies creating a favourable business climate and conditions for mitigation, adaptation and resilience financing, investments, and other environmentally friendly economic activities. From a private-sector perspective, it means promoting private-sector investment in low-carbon and green, i.e. to stimulate low-carbon economic growth and create green jobs.

The consultancy firm/research institution is expected to produce the Africa Green Business and Financing Flagship Report and support the Partners Mobilization Campaigns within the 7 months of the project inception phase. Expected activities include:

1) Developing the Africa Green Business and Financing Flagship report and the 4 Action Roadmaps

2 ) Support the organization of consultation and holding of the Report/Roadmaps validation sessions

3) Support stakeholder action mobilization campaigns at the regional and country levels

4) Support the Launch of the Report
