Description

The Government of Ethiopia, with the support of UNDP Ethiopia, is looking for a globally experienced consulting firm to review, improve, and if required, re-design the Ethiopian logistics system. A high level steering committee set up by the Government of Ethiopia, will review progress and set directions during the project study and its implementation phases.

The Government of Ethiopia has identified the logistics system as a priority strategic area that must rapidly undergo a fundamental transformation. Progress has so far been made in terms of adding infrastructure as well as establishing policies that should enable an efficient logistics, especially for manufacturing and exporting entities. Capitalizing on this progress, a comprehensive overhaul of the sector is necessary to not only to improve performance but also to ensure a globally competitive logistics system that supports rapid economic growth.

The consulting firm shall have solid global experience in developing national logistics strategies and an excellent track record for successful and timely implementation of projects of similar nature and magnitude.
