Call for Partnership for the provision of Supporting Livelihoods through Cultural Heritage Development at the World Heritage site of Erbil Citadel, Erbil Governorate, Iraq.
The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) seeks to build peace through international cooperation in Education, the Sciences and Culture. UNESCO's programmes contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals in Agenda 2030 adopted by the UN General Assembly in 2015. This Call for Partnerships (CFP) for Implementation Partners relates to the UNESCO project:
Project name: Development and Urban Enhancement of the Central Alley and Visitor Routes at Erbil Citadel, Iraq.
The assignment falls in the framework of the project “Support to livelihoods through cultural heritage development”, financed by the European Union’s MADAD-EU Regional Trust Fund in Response to the Syrian crisis.
The objective of this Call for Proposals is to improve self-reliance through access to immediate short-term decent employment opportunities for Syrians and Iraqis in the cultural heritage sector through Employment Intensive schemes in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
Detailed objectives and related outputs and deliverables are provided in the Terms of Reference – Annex 1.
A Virtual Meeting will be organised by UNESCO on March 02, 2023 at 2:30 pm (Baghdad time) to explain the Particular Condition in this Call for Partnership and in the implementation of the project. Interested NGO should send their interest to the above mentioned technical focal persons to be registered for the virtual meeting by no later than March 01, 2023 before 3:00 pm Iraq time.

This indicator summarizes sustainability considerations that relate to inclusion of a person with disability.

Organizational policy on disability inclusion, recruiting people with disabilities, accessible premises, disability-inclusive supply chains, and manufacturing accessible products.
The tender incorporates contract conditions/ KPIs that stipulate the verification of suppliers' environmental and social claims through “spot checks” and audit provisions.
