United Nations requires courier services for outgoing International Surface Book Rate Mail shipments dispatched from the United Nations NY Headquarters. Based on the up-to-date statistics of 2012, the Mail Operations Unit shipped approximately 88,000 pounds and 12,170 pieces of International Surface Book Rate Mail. It is expected that the volume of book rate mail will remain at or about the same level for the next two to three years.
