Supply and Delivery of One Fuel Transport Truck for UNOPS EMCO, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in accordance with the UNOPS General Conditions of Contract and “Schedule of Requirements” herein uploaded under file ITB_Section_II_Schedule of Requirements.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Interested vendors must respond to this tender using the UNOPS eSourcing system, via the UNGM portal. We regreat to inform you that this ITB is cancelled as the truck is no longer required . This fuel transport truck was planned to be aquired for transportation of fuel from Addis Ababa to war affected area called Mekelle city. Following the signing of the peace deal, the Federal government has commenced the delivery of fuel to Tigray region . New amendment added #1: Dear Potential Bidders,Greetings from UNOPS Ethiopia Office,Please be informed the the following amendments are done to this ITB:1. The Incoterm stated in the solicitation document is changed from CIP Incoterms 2020 to UNOPS ETMCO Office, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to CIP, cleared and offloaded Incoterms 2020 to UNOPS ETMCO Office, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.Bidders are expected to incorporate this change in their proposal & submit their qoutations accordingly.

New clarification added: Request: ZHI FENG (gmindgroup@outlook.com)Irrespective of the options, the fact that the fuel tank is to be fortified at the bottom speaks volumes about the road conditions inside Ethiopia, in this connection, we would appreciate your acceptance of the conditions of the fuel tank after reaching Addis Ababa from the discharging port, except that the fuel tank is seriously damaged from human mishandling or errors resulting in significant impact, in which case we shall be fully responsible for the damage.Clarification: The corider we are using is Djibouti port. The delivery place will be Addis Ababa. The pre-delivery inspection is expected to be done in Addis Ababa by dealership company representing the supplier in Ethiopia. The truck is expected to be driven from Djibouti to Addis Ababa. Please note that the delivery of the truck to Northern part of Ethiopia is not the responsibilty of the supplier as the delivery is Addis Ababa.

We hereby extend our gratefulness for your interest on the captioned Contractors ITB and request for clarification. Kindly refer the clarifications for your requests as follows: Request: ZHI FENG (gmindgroup@outlook.com)After reaching Addis Ababa the fuel tank has to be driven by UN appointed contractors or UN personnel through thousands of kilometers to the Nothern destination. May we then recommend that the fuel tank be unloaded in either of the three ports mentioned above and from there would let the contractors or UN personnel take over the fuel tank. The responsibilities of the supplier is thereby fulfilled and all obligations completed. To give UN the assurance of quality, the fuel tank will be inspected before loading on board the ship by a reputable third party inspection institution acceptable to UN to ensure that the fuel tanks is free from defects and or any damage. From there, the contractors or UN personnel will take similar amount of land journey to reach the Northern part of the country. We assume that UN will have tax-free through passage from any of the three ports.Clarification: The corider we are using is Djibouti port. The delivery place will be Addis Ababa. Is there an anti overflow controller in the local service station? That is: when the oil is loaded into the tanker, if it reaches a certain position, the sensor will feed back the alarm to the anti overflow system through wiring, and automatically stop the oil loading, so that it will not overflow due to too much oil. So could you kindly clarify is it necessary to install an anti overflow control socket on the truck?3. Does the tanker need bottom filling? Clarification: 1. The truck is needed for the transportation of diesel oil.2. Yes, it is necessary to install an anti overflow controller on the trucks.3. Yes, the truck also needs to be equipped with bottom fillings.

Kindly refer the clarifications for your requests as follows: Request:1, Hongbin Liu (info@siway.biz)In Technical specifications for Goods – Comparative Data Table, you required: "All standard accessories: detailed specification and drawing of the product, operation and maintenance manual and additional useful materials and documents" could you accept the supplier submit the catalogue in their bid offer, but submit the drawing of the product, operation and maintenance manual when they have the real award.Clarification: Yes, Bidders are not required to submit operation and maintenance manual at this stage. These manuals will be delivered with the truck from the bidder who will win the bid.

Kindly refer the clarifications for your requests as follows: Request:1, Jack Li (peak@peakglobe.com)We are the contractor for supply of Heavy Trucks under UNOPS/LTA/2021/19467-04, in which you can find the truck with with fuel tank, 6x4, capacity min. 19,000 litre which can meet your requirement. Could you please kindly confirm whether you can select from the current LTA? You can find the detailed specifications and prices in UN WEBBUY.Clarification: Thanks for the info. We have reviewed the UNWEBBUY options. The truck is to be procured for emergency project in northern part of Ethiopia. This project require the truck in the shortest possible time. UNOPS ETMCO made the bid an open tender to check the market if we could manage to get the truck within 90 days. As you know the delivery of such truck doesn't seem possible via UNWEBBUY.
