Description
1.1 The United Nations Support Office for AMISOM (UNSOA) requires the service of a Contractor to provide all labour, transport, materials, tools, equipment and plant required to implement and complete the proposed construction of Concrete Hardstand, at various locations throughout mission area, on an as-required basis ( Long term contract) in Somalia.
2.1 The Contractor shall provide a concrete hardstand as detailed in the TS and in accordance with European/British/American standards. The hardstand shall be designed to carry heavy commercial vehicles (including 40tons forklift, tractor and trailer combination vehicles). The gradient of the hardstand shall be designed in accordance with a drainage plan. The hardstand shall be constructed based on the standard design outlined in the tender documents to be provided to interested parties as slab or road.
2.2 The Contractor shall provide the complete design based on the approved preliminary design including all studies, required structural calculations, technical drawings, details and surveys (including geotechnical soil evaluation and load bearing survey), unless UNSOA specifies exact design in the relevant TO and specifically releases the contractor from the design task. The design shall be in accordance with all local and international - European/British/American standards.
2.3 The Contractor shall provide the required construction services including all workforce, transportation, materials, consumables, equipment, tools, machinery and plant (except where otherwise specified) necessary to carry out the works.
2.4 The overall surface to be constructed including exact location and basic layout plan will be included in/or as an attachment to the Task Order document, which will be issued by the UN to the Contractor, whenever services are required.
This Request for Expression of Interest (EOI) does not constitute a solicitation. UNSOA reserves the right to change or cancel the requirements at any time during EOI and/or solicitation process. Submission of a reply to this EOI does not automatically guarantee that such firm will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued. Only vendors, deemed qualified upon completion of an objective evaluation of their submission of EOI, will receive the final tender solicitation document.
