New clarification added: For the “Box, explosive storage, wood, white” item:What size box is needed?Does the entire box have to be made of wood?Does this box have to be white in color?Answer: No specific size is specified. The item in the list was indicative of possible considerations for equipment. Box doe not need to be made entirely of wood nor it has to be white. However temperatures in the areas of operations nromally exceed 40 degr. Celcius during daytime and therefore it is not adviseable to have metal type of storage for bulk explosives or have this painted in a dark color

New clarification added: There are certain pieces of equipment that will come with rechargeable batteries and battery chargers. Is the government is asking only for prices and minimum quantities needed to operate each piece of equipment?Answer: The requirement is to establish what is needed for an EOD team to be fully operational in a field setting, thus to ensure that detecton can be carried out over a prolonged period of operations. This will require rechargeable batteries, (including spares) and battery chargers

New clarification added: There are many types of BAC detectors with various levels of functionality. Are there any specifications the government desires these BAC detectors to have?Answer: There have been no specifications on certain needs. The EOD team must be capable of executing BAC tasks as expedient as possible but within the standards of clearance for humanitarian mine action.

New clarification added: Question:Will offerors be required to provide food and lodging for all students?Answer: No, Nigerian Police Force Staff will be the responsibility of the Nigerian Police Force. The organization will only be responsible for the transport and food of their staff and any accommodation costs.Question:Would it be acceptable for only one party in a joint venture to be registered in Nigeria, or must both parties hold registration?Answer: The Offeror (or lead agency in the case of a Joint Venture) must be registered as an organization that is able to work in Nigeria. A copy of the Corporate Affairs Registration Document issued by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC registration) will be reqired. Will offerors be required to provide food and lodging for all students? Would it be acceptable for only one party in a joint venture to be registered in Nigeria, or must both parties hold registration?

New clarification added: Dear Potential Bidders,1. Yes, you may update the annex to the RFI to include the cost of training delivery. Please make sure to separate the costing for training delivery and the estimated costing for EOD equipment.2. Maximum number of trainees that can be accommodated is 100 personnel, excluding instructors and support staff. This will allow several training modules to run simultaneously3. There are sufficient classrooms and practical areas, including demolition grounds to run 3 training modules of 25 pax/class at the same time.Best,UNOPS Nigeria Team
