Logistics and Catering Services South Sudan Request for EOI

Reference: 2022-36/WA
Beneficiary countries or territories: South Sudan
Published on: 06-Sep-2022
Deadline on: 16-Sep-2022 00:00 (GMT 1.00)

Description

The International Trade Centre’s South Sudan Jobs Creation and Trade Development Project was created to help create jobs for the people of South Sudan by boosting micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) working in the fruit and vegetables sectors. Enterprises in both rural and urban areas will be benefiting from the project’s intervention. Youth between 15 and 34 years of age will be primary beneficiaries of the project.

ITC is lending its international expertise and providing training opportunities to help these businesses build up their capacities and skills. The project is also responding to the need for jobs for women and youth, by building up local entrepreneurship and business management capacities. The project has an overall objective of improving the livelihoods of targeted South Sudanese populations through the creation of jobs and income.

ITC is looking for a company to provide logistics support to various capacity building trainings throughout South Sudan, from now until August 2024. These trainings will be working toward the objectives of:

  1. Train MSMEs in market and buyer identification, marketing approach and business negotiation skills
  2. Develop and provide training on business management and entrepreneurship

The locations of these events will be the Central Equatoria States of Rejaf, Kator, Gondokoro, Juba-nabari, Lokiliri, Jebe Lado, Kworijik and Luri, and the Western Equatoria States of Yambio and Nzara. It is estimated that ITC will host (per each location mentioned above) 3 events in 2022, 6 events in 2023 and 3 events in 2024. Each event will last approximately 2 days. To give a better idea of the time involved, for 2022, that would mean ITC will need 60 days of logistic services total (2 days x 10 locations x 3 events).

The exact services needed include (estimated number of attendees per event is 50 people):

  • Tent
  • Chairs
  • Table
  • Flipcharts with stand
  • Stationary (pens, markers, notebooks)
  • Food (breakfast snacks, traditional lunch, mineral water, soda)
  • COVID-19 facemasks
