Provision of Translation and Interpretation Services for OHCHR-SEARO in Bangkok

The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) in Bangkok, Thailand, acting on behalf of and representing the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Regional Office for South-East Asia (OHCHR-SEARO) in Bangkok, is seeking a qualified and experienced company to provide translation and interpretation services for OHCHR-SEARO in Bangkok, Thailand. Description of services: The scope of services includes the provision of personnel to provide translation services and interpretation services (both virtual and/or face-to-face), including rental of interpretation equipment, for OHCHR-SEARO in Bangkok and other provinces of Thailand, on an "as and when required basis", during the contract term. Typical language requirements are: (1) from English-to-Thai and vice versa; (2) from English-to-Lao and vice versa; and, (3) from English-to-Vietnamese and vice versa. However, during the contract term, OHCHR-SEARO may require the translation and interpretation in other languages. Contract Duration: The contract shall have an initial period of two (2) years, with an extension option of three (3) years, totalling at five (5) years. An extension of the contract shall be at OHCHR-SEARO’s sole discretion and shall also be subject to budgetary appropriations, contractor’s performance, and contractual personnel’s performances.
