Construction of a Child-Friendly Park in Hargeisa, Somaliland

United Nations Office at Nairobi (hereinafter referred to as UNON) on behalf of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme's Office in Somalia (hereinafter referred to as UN-HABITAT) anticipates to construct a Child-Friendly Park in Hargeisa, Somaliland. Construction firms/vendors from Somaliland or any country (hereinafter referred to as “applicants”) interested in undertaking the works should submit their applications for prequalification as a potential contractor of the above named park. All applications should be sent through the link provided in this request for expression of interest (hereinafter referred to as REOI). Applicants who apply will be invited to participate in the ensuing tender process for this requirement. The scope of work consists of construction of one (1) child-friendly park (ground floor only). this includes the following: -Site Clearance -Construction of Fence -Construction of Gate -Construction of Rubberized pedestrian pavement -Construction of Information center and ticketing -Construction of Bicycle Port -Construction of Education area -Construction of Park Washrooms -Construction of Hilly/slopy landscape -Construction of Children socialization area -Construction of Swing and Play area -Construction of Main shading tent -Construction of Vendor spaces -Construction of Park 3D name -Construction of Water body play area -Construction of Climbing wall, -Construction of Bus stop shelter -Construction of Parking lot, -Constructoin of Entrance pedestrian walkway -Construction of Park Furniture. TIMELINES It is planned and estimated that the works will be undertaken and completed within a period of six (6) months. The UN anticipates to sign a contract with the winning bidder in the month of September 2022 IMPORTANT Please note that this REOI is not an invitation for submission of tenders. Its purpose is to identify eligible vendors that would be interested to participate in the upcoming tender. The vendor eligibility and qualification criteria will be defined in the bidding documents. The complete tender package including the specifications, scope of work, bills of quantities, drawings and plans, shall be provided in the tender documents that will be issued subsequent to this REOI. UNON reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement of this REOI at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Submitting an application does not therefore automatically guarantee that your company will be considered for issuance of the solicitation documents. No payment will be made by UNON to applicants or any other entity for any costs, expenses, losses or damages incurred or suffered by the applicant or any other entity arising out of or in connection with the preparation of the application. Applicants may send their questions/enquiries not later than 48hrs to the REOI closing time to the email addresses provided in this REOI.
