Expression of Interest for provision of consulting services to create blueprint and roadmap for digital solution to smallholder farmers

The aim of the project is to provide a information services to farmers through a mobile platform to support agrofood processes from production all the way to markets. This will be achieved by developing a platform that could be accessed through mobile devices (the application will be develop initially English, Arabic and Kurdish) to
facilitate the access to information to support farmers with services such as extension services, weather related information, best practices and market linkage including aggregation of produce for better price negotiation.

The platform would allow for interaction between farmers and agricultural extension workers and other experts in various fields related to agriculture as well as sharing of best practices amongst the farmers themselves.

The application will bundle all the services and the users will be able to select what they need around the seasonality of the activities that they undertake.

Services includes preparation and inception

1. Feasibility and Needs Assessment: To guide the building of the platform WFP would like to undertake an extensive needs assessment from various perspectives

2. Roadmap: The service provider to develop a detailed roadmap of project implementation from design, development, testing, piloting and rolling out the platform.
