The United Nations Office for Project Services (hereinafter referred to as UNOPS) is pleased to invite competent and/or qualified Bidders/Contractors to submit their respective competitive proposal for the Supply, Delivery and Installation of Solar Energy System for UNMAS Afghanistan Programme in accordance with the UNOPS General Conditions of Contract and the “Schedule of Requirements” herein uploaded as “RFQ-Section_II” as set out in this Request for Quotation (RFQ).

New clarification added: Question No. 2Battery 200 Amp (Original) Do you want (Rechargeable Deep Cycle Hybrid GEL Battery)? Or some other model? Answer: The RFQ requirement is Dry original batteries. Question No. 3. There is confusion in the required quantity of Inverters. Form C: Price Schedule form it says 20kw (20000w) each inverter support 5 KW and then in the next column the number of required inverters are shown 3. Please clarify do we need 3x20 kw inverters or 1x20 kw. Answer: The RFQ requirement is only 3 units of inventors with the given specifications. Question No. 4. Please recheck the size of the 400 W solar panel. The Standard dimensions of 400 W solar panels are 39*79 inches.Answer: The mentioned requirement in the RFQ will be accepted only. Question No. 5. Please clarify Afghan Custom Duties and Tax ExemptionsAre these goods requested in the RFQ Afghan Customs Duties exempt? Will provide exemption letter for the goods clearance from Afghan customs? Are these goods requested in the RFQ Afghan Business Receipt Tax (BRT) exempt? Will provide the tax exemption letter or the agreement?Answer:Bidders who submit a quote must be registered in Afghanistan and are able to deliver the goods to our Kabul Office without the requirement for customs clearance. Question No. 6In the scope of work, you have mentioned that prior to the quotation submission, the bidder should carry out a detailed site visit. is it mandatory? if yes. please provide the exact location, date, time and focal point contacts details in order to coordinate with him/her. Answer: The site visit is not mandatory. Question No. 7I had a question for line number 1, The requested QTY for Hybrid Inverter Original (MPPT) online to be fixed for 20kw (20000w) each inverter support 5 KW is 3 and we have 4 sites. Do you have one 5kva inverter in stock or its miss typed , you need 4 Units. Answer: The RFQ requirement is only 3 units of inventors with the given specifications.

New clarification added: Question 1:1. the standard and the Largest size of solar panel in the Market is 102*202, but here you mentioned 180*200. Do you accept the 102*202 size or not?2. In returnable forms in item no1 you have mentioned the QTY of inventers 3, but if we calculate for producing of 20kw of power we need 4 inventers of 5kw, how many inventers do you need 4 or 3?Answer:Please provide your quote as per the RFQ technical requrement.
