The United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) seeks a qualified contractor to waterproof selected foundation walls of Building 137, at the UNGSC, Brindisi, Italy. The UNGSC is located inside the Italian Air Force (ItAf) compound (Aeroporto Militare Pierozzi)” – Piazza Del Vento, n. 1 – 72100, Brindisi, Italy. The scope of the works is the waterproofing of Building 137 foundation walls. The office building was built in the past century and the lower portion of the walls are affected by rising dampness. Foundation waterproofing is needed to protect the building’s foundations walls from water ingress as well as potential radon protection, thus mitigating the risk of significant damage and protection of the health of occupants. The required service shall include: a) Provision of Architectural Design; b) Demolition and excavation works; c) Foundation waterproofing; d) Paving; e) Kerbs, water drainage channel and iron grating; f) External plastering and painting; g) Other minor works. The awarded Contractor shall be responsible for providing all necessary personnel, supervision, tools, plant and equipment, material, consumables, supplies, facilities including working and living accommodation, transportation, personnel travel, administration, insurance and all other costs required to fulfil all its contractual obligations. Water and Electricity will be supplied by UNGSC at the closest point of connection needed by the Contractor.
