Request for Information regarding the design and prototyping of alternatives to Polypropylene woven bags
In 2021, the ICRC, together with its Partners UNHCR and WFP, launched a project to identify and test more sustainable alternatives to the polypropylene woven bag that are commonly used as packaging for staple food and other commodity distributed by humanitarian organizations.
With this Expression of Interest, the project Partners are now seeking to identify suppliers that have the capacity, expertise and experience to design and prototype such alternatives, and as such that will be involved in the Request for Proposal (RFP) to be issued shortly after this pre-qualification process.
