New clarification added: Q7.The BOQ Item C1 indicates the area of surface preperation for slab bottom and beam surfaces as 28 m2 and in the BOQ item C5, the area for Protective coating application indicates as 354 m2. If the protective coating to be applied on full beam and slab bottom surface, the area of surface preperation shall be eaqual. Please clarify.A7- Protective coat to be applied for all beams and slab soffits. Surface preperation is mainly considered only at beams. Specifications mentioned about a technical report which was not in the tender documents. please verify Q8 Specifications mentioned about a technical report which was not in the tender documents. please verifyA8- All the relavent details in the Technical report (Design report) has been shown in the Drawings and Specifications which are shared already in the tender.

New amendment added #2: Upload the revised BoQ and Specifications. New clarification added: Q5: Please clarify,Item C5, can we propose alternative proposal with Master protect 300, which isnt a polyurathene material but can match with your requirements at site? Answer: Please refer BOQ C5 item - "The product shall be of X-Roc EpoxyBond or equal quality"

New clarification added: · Q4: Please verify whether you provide space for contractor site office, stores and accommodations. Answer: Bare Land can be provided within the Hospital premises ( Max 500m away from the site location)

New clarification added: Q3;· Please clarify whether we need to allow separate access to the main entrance. - Answer: Not required.· Please verify scope in1st floor area, and requirement of sealing the dust access points in 1st floor. Answer: First floor windows are sound proof and no need any sealing for dusts. · Expansion joint repair detail – Please verify the method to seal the groove in both side with a sealant and filling the middle part with Rigi form or filler board. Answer: Reffer Drawing KSFH -A1-PORCH-ST-204. · B07 BOQ item mention T12 reinforcement will be measure separately but it is cannot be found in separate item. Please verify. Answer: Item dscription has been changed and added the T 12, Will be corrected in the revised BOQ · Assume all risk policy, third part insurance policy, workman compensation insurance only be required for item A3. Please confirm. Answer: All prices for the mentioned insurances has to be incoperated in BOQ item A3.· Assume contractor can store debris at site till cart away to distant location. Answer: yes for limited time period , But in a safe and demarcated area and site should be kept clean · Assume beam top (B1), slab soffit and beam surface (C1) would require 25mm thk concrete/plaster remove to expose sound concrete surface. Any additional depth which made up by rendering/plastering/waterproofing etc. will be an added scope to the contract. Answer: There is only waterproofing and protected rendering layer availabe on the beam top and to be removed.· Item B15, supply and apply 50 mm dia. PVC pipes cannot be measured in square meters. Please verify the measurement or supply detail drawing for the installation. Answer: Will be updated in amended revised BOQ · Please verify B12, B13 and B16 scope and quantities which cannot be clarify. As an experience contractor, we think it B 16 area need to be match with B 13 or B12 or both added. Further, for better protection, it need a sloping screed to be lay on the existing surface. Please verify. Answer: Item B 16 will be updated in the revised BOQ.

New clarification added: Q6: Spesifications menitoned about a carbon fiber reinforcement work but BOQ do not have any item to this scope. Please verify. Moreover, fiber reinforcement cannot be quote in this manner. We need technical details and it will take more than 3 weeks to obtain prices for the material as it need to be import to Sri Lanka. Answer: carbon fiber reinforcement work is not included in the scope and the section regarding carbon fiber reinforcement is shown in specification only as a reference and will be removed from the revised specification to avoid confusion.

New clarification added: Q1:Dear Sir/Madam,In the file "ITB_Minor_work _Construction_Contract_Section_V_ Drawings", the Drawing No KSFH-A1-PORCH-ST-208 shows the supporting arrangement around the Columns C4a and C4b area only. So we consider pricing only for that area and as per given quantities of the supporting Acro Jacks. There will be no any supporting arrangment for any of Beams or Slab portions apart from the area showed on the drawing and Acro Jack quantities provided. Please clarify and accept the proposal.A1:Drawing Drawing No KSFH-A1-PORCH-ST-208 gives only a special arrangement to support the structure around column 4a and 4b. However, it is the entire reponsibility of the contractor to assess the existing loading, site situation and provide the adequate supporting arrangment to the structure which will finally be subjected to the approval of the consultant/Engineer. Dear Sir/Madam,Q2:As per the Pre-Bid Meeting minutes, the bidder shall carry out the necessary excavation up to column base including demolition and removal of upstanding plinth at Ground level and the road (tar) surface and the related cost shall be included in the price of Item No: C6 of Bill of quantities. The Item No C6 in the revised BOQ stated as "Excavation to expose the Column footings at Substructure 1600 x 1600 x 2200 mm. Rate shall include for demolition and removing of plinth at ground level, removing of road surface arrounding column and the backfilling with available approved soil." According to the Item Description the backfilling shall be done by available approved soil. Does it mean the refilling with the excavated existing soil from the same area or are there any soil available at site (Provide by the Client free of charge) for refilling? The bidder is only carry out back filling of the location and shall not include any cost associated with civil construction and finishing items. Please clarify and confirm.A2:Soil available at the hospital premises aproximately 400m away if required which will be provided by the client free of charge for refilling. Works for plinth construction after back filling will be measured seperately.
