The Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) organize an annual 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW), from 25 November to 12 December, to raise awareness of gender-based violence (GBV) in the country, and to galvanize public support and participation in initiatives that address GBV. 

The COVID19 pandemic continues to reap devastating impact on women and girls globally. It has deepened pre-existing gender inequalities, while exposing glaring weaknesses in social, political, and economic systems. Every year, the United Nations country team (UNCT) celebrates International Human Rights Day (IHRD).
