Description
1.0 UNAMI seeks to engage the services of one qualified vendor with capacity to provide a turn-key tailor made system of 6 x Dedicated Leased Lines or domestic private leased circuits as well as 7 x Dedicated Fiber Optic-based Internet Connections to 8 UNAMI Compounds in Iraq (7) and Kuwait(1) with the capability to inclease / decrease / redirect bandwidth between the sites in accordance with the UNAMI's operational requirements and workload. The purpose of the leased lines is to allow for site to site replication and the purpose of the fiber optic-based Internet connections is to provide high-speed and reliable Internet services for multiple sites within Iraq. UNAMI intends to award one contract covering all services for initial period of 1 year with an option to renew the contract for additional 4x1-Year terms and to either increase or decrease the bandwidth of each site. The duration of the contract shall always be subject to the continuation of the UNAMI mandate in Iraq, the availability of funds, and the satisfactory performance of the prospective service provider. The overview of the Fiber Optic Internet Connections, the Leased Lines and the summary of the UNAMI requirements to be provided by the Prospective Contractor are as follows:
1.1 Fiber Optic Internet Connections (all locations are within Iraq):

1.2 Leased Lines or Domestic Private Leased Circuit (5 lines are within Iraq and 1 line is Iraq-Kuwait)

1.3 Summary of supply and service requirements for Each UNAMI Site:
a) Supply of equipment, fiber optic cables and accessoties;
b) Construct an underground fiber optic infrastructure including fiber optic cabling, trenches, manholes and connecting to the Iraq's fiber optic back bone which is directly related to the European fiber optic back bone.
c) Install the equipment and Commission and activate the fiber optic connection and the leased line;
d) Provide a 2-day Training Session on the system operation at UNAMI Headquarters in Baghdad (International Zone) for 10-15 UNAMI CITS participants to be done by a fully competent and certified instructor.
e) Maintain the fiber optic internet and the leased line infrastructure on 24/7/365 basis (including holidays and weekends) with incident resolution time max. 1-hour from UNAMI notice.
f) Increase/decrease the bandwidth and/or reallocate bandwidth from/to the site as requested by UNAMI.
2.0 The service should be executed by one qualified and experienced company, based on Scope of work (SOW), Specifications, Plans, UN General Conditions of Contracts and other related documents which will be provided later on by UNAMI to qualified companies who express their interest and respond to this EOI. For this purpose, UNAMI will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly.
3.0 Please note on the following:
a) This EOI is not an invitation for submission of an offer.
b) UNAMI reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities and mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant for tender document.
c) UNAMI reserves the right to reject EOI's received after the above deadline.
