Renovation/Modification of Hope Space/TDH in Darashakran refugee camp in Erbil Governorate, Iraq.

All bidders are kindly advised to note the following change in the tender:

• The date of the site visit has been postponed to 25 October instead of 21 October 2021, at the same time of 11:00 AM.

The work includes the following:

A) Civil Works

• Fence Work: Provide materials, manpower and equipment to removing the old ordinary fence,  grading, levelling & erecting new steel fence (American Type).
• Provide materials, required equipment, and skilled labor for erecting double swing gate (4m x 1.8m) from steel pipe square section 2.5", 2.5mm thick. All required works should be carried out according to the supervisor engineer's instructions.
• Provide materials, required equipment and skilled labour for erecting gate (1m x 1.8m) from steel pipe square section 2.5", 2.5mm thick, all required works should be carried out according to the supervisor engineer instructions.
• Cast plain concrete class(21) (1:2:4) for floor 15 cm thickness with all necessary works (WITH 2 OR MORE LAYERS OF BLOCK WALL UNDER THE  FOUNDATION TO LEVEL IT, the work should be done according to the drawing and instructions of site engineer.
• Hollow concrete block works: Supplying materials & construction of walls with hollow concrete blocks 20 X 20 X 40 cm with cement mortar(1: 3); the price includes filling joints vertically between blocks by cement and sand 1:3.
• Cement plastering: Providing materials, staff and plastering with cement sand mortar 1:3,  three layers (cement splatter dash, kafmal, saf ) 20mm thick min
• Gypsum plastering: Supplying materials and plastering with gypsum (using the best type of gypsum approved by site engineer) in 2 layers minimum thickness 15mm using straight aluminium edges for plastering guides each 80 cm. .
• Skirting: Supply materials and skirting using Turkish, Spanish or equivalent ceramic tiles (15)cm height and tile adhesive materials (Kalakem flex type).
• Supply materials required equipment and skilled labour to paint the interior walls with three coats of Acrylic PVA base high-quality interior washable finish (JOTIN, Dufa, BETEK). All required works should be carried out to the specifications.
• Supply materials required equipment and skilled labour to paint the walls with three coats of best approved quality exterior painting (JOTUN) (JOTASHIELD) brand or equivalent, ISO 901 colour.
• Roof Work: Supply and install sandwich panel roof using frame (rectangular pipe) 4cm X 8cm, (1.8)mm thickness, (75 cm C/C both directions)  for roofs and extended sandwich panel 20cm from the main roof.
• Supply materials required equipment and manpower to lay waterproof material by using Sausage Polyurethane Adhesive Sealant for the existing defected rooms (cracks, joint between walls &  sandwich roof edges, doors and windows opening )to be sure the rooms will be waterproof.
• Supply and install false ceiling gypsum board tiles (60x60cm) for the rooms (sample should be provided for approval).
• Supply and install false ceiling plastic tiles (60x60cm) for the latrines (sample should be provided for approval.
• Tile work for latrines, walls and floors: Supply material, required Equipment and manpower for installing Ceramic tile (40 x 40cm) (Turkish or equivalent) (sample should be provided).
• Floor Tile works: Supply material required Equipment and manpower for installing Ceramic tile (40 x 40cm) (Turkish or equivalent) (sample should be provided). White cement & lime grout and SPR colour if required mixture).
• PVC doors Work: Provide and install (200 x 90)cm PVC doors (samples required for final approval) with frames by using sections of super profile (reinforced by channel steel sections of min.1mm thick.
• PVC window works: Provide and install (200 x 125)cm PVC windows by using sections of super profile (reinforced by steel channel sections of min. 1 mm thick, Turkish made, (samples required for final approval) quality comply with European standards, profile width not less than (70) mm, outer wall thickness min.(3) mm), including double glass pans (6 mm, vacuum for space), handles, fibreglass fly mesh wire.
• PVC window works: Provide and install (50 x 50)cm PVC windows by using sections of super profile (reinforced by steel channel sections of min. 1 mm thick, Turkish made, (samples required for final approval) quality comply with European standards, profile width not less than (70) mm, outer wall thickness min.(3) mm), including double glass pans (6 mm, vacuum for space), handles, fibreglass fly mesh wire.
• Provide all the needed machines, materials, and manpower to construct a concrete ramp for the disabled people for all the offices and facilities.
• Provide machines  (Crain and flat loader if needed) for transporting two caravans mobile toilets dimensions ( 2 X 2)m and one caravan side dimensions  (5 X 5.5)m from the hope space to warehouse inside the camp with all required works.

B) Electrical Works

• Supply materials, instal and test lighting points LED 20 Watt for latrines (indoor) (samples required for final approval) with all required attachments using (single wires 1.5mm² with a suitable cable tray or cable conduit). The switch plug should be (Edison, B.G or FTM) or equivalent.
• Supply materials, instal and test lighting points LED 25Watt (outdoor) (samples required for final approval) with all required attachments using (single wires 1.5 mm² with a suitable cable tray or cable conduit). The switch plug should be (Edison, B.G or FTM) or equivalent.
• Supply materials, installing, connecting and testing electrical LED lights (60 x 60cm)(72 W) with all annexed parts using (2x 1.5) mm2 wires inside false ceiling (daylight type) with switch on/off.
• Supply materials, instal and test socket 13amp. (Edison, B.G or FTM) or equivalent (if the mentioned brands are not available) for the rooms, the works also include testing and fixing the electrical connection for the socket using (2X 2.5) mm2 cable (GC, GCCI, Hidayatm FTM, Edison).
• Supply, install and test distribution board with dimension of (60cmx40cmx25cm) 2mm thickness, circuit breaker (100 amps) 3 phase (ABB, Schneider or Siemens) brand or equivalent (if the mentioned brands are not available), Copper bus bar (40cm X 3cm) 4mm thickness with 6 line circuit breakers (10, 25 amps ABB, Schneider or Siemens.
• Supply, instal and test outdoor main distribution board with dimension of (100cm x 80cm x 30cm) 2mm thickness, #2 main motorized auto circuit breaker (240amps) 3 phase (ABB, Schneider or Siemens) brand or equivalent (if the mentioned brands are not available, Copper bus bar (40cm X 3cm) 4mm thickness, indicator lights, voltmeter, altimeter, earthen system, distribution lines with all needed and accessories.
• Provide, instal, and test industrial exhaust fan (10") (sample should be provided for approval). The price includes the electrical connection using (2 X 1.5)mm2 cable (GC, GCCI, Hidayatm FTM, Edison) or equivalent (if the mentioned brands are not available) inside a plastic conduit or tray cable, wood or aluminium frame (if needed) with all needed accessories.
• Supply and instal  LED projectors (100 watts)(sample should be provided for approval) to roof lights, the works also include testing and fixing the electrical connection for the light point if needed using (2 X 1.5)mm2 cable (GC, GCCI, Hidayatm FTM, Edison) or equivalent (if the mentioned brands are not available)with plastic conduit or tray cable, suitable size of Residual current circuit breaker with Overcurrent Protection- RCBO (Legrand, ABB, Siemens, Schneider) or equivalent (if the mentioned brands are not available) with photocell and all needed accessories.
• Supply and instal split AC unit (24,000 BTU) (TOSOT, Gree) or equivalent  (if the mentioned brands are not available) (DUAL INVERTER TECHNOLOGY), the work also includes installing 32 Amp Residual current circuit breaker with Overcurrent Protection- RCBO (Legrand, ABB, Siemens, Schneider) or equivalent (if the mentioned brands are not available) and connect it with the electrical source using (2 X 4)mm2 cable (GC, GCCI, Hidayatm FTM, Edison) or equivalent (if the mentioned brands are not available) with all accessories. The price also includes coring the wall using a proper machine (if needed).
• Provide 2kg automatic fire extinguisher for an electrical board with sensor pipe best quality (min 1 year warranty). The work includes properly fixing the fire extinguishers all required work according to instructions of site Eng.
• Provide 6kg automatic fire extinguisher for an electrical board with sensor pipe best quality (min 1 year warranty) the work includes properly fixing the fire extinguishers all required work according to instructions of site Eng.
• Provide materials, manpower to connecting electrical cable (4 X 16mm2)(Jordanian, Gold or JCCI best Quality + sample should be Provided)from the main electrical grid to the hope space and inside the compound, all required accessories for connection in both sides and fixing the cable with electrical poles, all the works should be done according to the specifications.

C) WASH Works

• Provide and instal new Ceramic pan eastern best type (Best Type) (Sample should be provided) with all necessary (fittings, accessories with a siphon, connecting PVC pipe to manhole, gully trap, internal water network, water mixer, …etc.).
• Provide and instal new Ceramic pan western best type (Best Type) (Sample should be provided) with all necessary (fittings, accessories with a siphon, connecting PVC pipe to manhole, gully trap, internal water network, water mixer, …etc.).
• Provide and instal new ceramic washbasin with mixer + floor drains + Gully Trap, complete set (Approved Sample/well-known origin, such as Vitra, Duravit) or any equivalent approved type, using proper brackets and adhesive materials for fixing the basin with walls with all necessary (fittings, accessories, water hose, connecting PVC pipe to manhole, gully trap, internal water network, water mixer, …etc.).
• Provide and instal (HDPE) of 500 litres storage capacity, vertical water tank with top/open cover (Length 112 cm & Width 77.0 cm, weight 16 Kg, 3 Layers, of Grey colour internally and Blue colour externally), 1-inch cooper/brass outlet, 100% Virgin raw material not recycled  (Polyethylene-linear high/low density) Food Grade. The tanks also should be Anti-ultraviolet (U.V.) resistance which blocks the sunlight and sun heat free of Algae and odour.
• Provide materials and instal Bidet Toilet Sprayer Set (shataf) (Approved Sample/well-known origin, such as Vitra, Duravit) or any equivalent approved type. Chrome-plated taps.
• Supply materials to build reinforcement concrete manholes of (40)cm internal dimensions (depth according to site slope/level/work requirements). The work including excavation, casting RC (mix 1:2:4 with BRC 6 mm & 15 x 15cm) for the base 20 cm thick and side walls 15 cm thick (mix 1:2:4 with BRC 6 mm & 15 x 15cm) with shuttering, internal waterproof coating, cast iron cover/GRP cover of heavy-duty.
• Supply materials to build reinforcement concrete manholes of (60) cm internal dimensions (depth according to site slope/level/work requirements). The work including excavation, casting RC (mix 1:2:4 with BRC 6 mm & 15 x 15cm) for the base 20 cm thick and side walls 15 cm thick (mix 1:2:4 with BRC 6 mm & 15 x 15cm) with shuttering, internal waterproof coating, cast iron cover/GRP cover of heavy-duty.
• Provide and instal 50 Litter electrical water boiler galvanized inner plate tank, overhead valve (Siemens, Bradford white, westing house) or equivalent (if the mentioned brands are not available), the price includes the electrical connection using (3 x 4mm²) cable (GC, GCCI, Hidayatm FTM, Edison) or equivalent (if the mentioned brands are not available) inside plastic conduit or cable tray, also to provide and install 32 Amp.
• Provide a Rechargeable air cooler min 50 litter capacity for the rooms (Sample should be provided for approval).
• Concrete block works: Supply materials and manpower for construction two rows of hollow concrete blocks (20 x 20 x40)cm, height 44cm, the first row will be foundation underground and the second row will be over the ground as a retaining wall around the new garden area.

• Supply materials and manpower for filling the garden by 15 cm of clean agricultural loam. The work includes planting Sod grass (American type four seasons) and the plants for the garden, with all required works should be carried out according to the specifications.
• Septic Tank: Provide materials and build septic tank of internal dimension (L x W x D, 2 m x 1.5 m )min 2m under inlet pipe level), according to attached technical drawings and Supervisor Engineer instructions. The work includes excavations, cast reinforcement concrete with wood shuttering for slab floor, side & partition walls and manhole neck of 25 cm thick, C26 Mpa, 12 mm steel bars @ 20x20 cm C/C double layers, with thick nylon layer under concrete.
• Cesspool Construction:- Provide materials and drill/build a cesspool 1.1 m outer diameter for septic tank effluent infiltration according to attached drawings, 7 m depth. Casing (6 m) using double wall corrugated pipes of inner diameter 80 cm minimum and 1 m from the top/ground level by a concrete ring of min.80 cm dia. Gravel pack between cesspool wall and casing pipe.
• PVC pipes (4)” diameter: Supply and instal (4")dia. PVC pipes best/approved type (Egyptian with German standard), 4.20 mm wall thickness with all necessary materials and fittings.
• Composite PPR water pipes: Supply and instal water pipes of OD 25 mm, PN 16. The price includes all fittings and accessories, excavation (required depth), backfilling with all necessary works for cold water. With painting by anti-rust paint for galvanized only.

D) Play Yard Works

• Provide all the machines, materials, and manpower needed to :

1. Provide and install steel pipe 5'' with (plastic board, ring, and net) for basketball.
2. Provide and install steel pipe 2.5'' for volleyball with the net.
3. Provide and install football goal set using 3" steel pipe with the net.
4. Painting the concrete ground with special paint for the play yard and according to the games design.

All the steel pipes should be painted with two layers of anti-rust paint and three layers of oil paint also."

Important Note:

• UNHCR engineers or a Third Party will inspect the quality of material and workmanship. The work must be within engineering specifications/standards and time limits.
• The contractor is responsible for preparing a detailed shop drawing before starting the constitution and building drawings after completing the construction.
• UNHCR will provide monitoring forms to the contractor, and the contractor is responsible for filling these forms.
• The daily works will be overseen by a UNHCR engineer, partners, or third-party onsite daily.
• Daily and Weekly reports by the contractor will be prepared and submitted to the supervising engineers for endorsement.
• Detailed description and specifications are determined in the attached BOQ as Annex-B.
• The contractor must complete all works as per the Drawings, Bill of Quantities, and Technical Specifications within 180 days from the date of signing of the contract agreement and hand it over to the construction site.
• Safe removal and disposal of used or leftover material from the site to the location identified by the UNHCR Engineer will be the contractor's responsibility.
