Description
Based on the current demand for High Frequency (HF) Radio Systems and related services by the UN Secretariat (including UN field missions) and UN Entities worldwide to support their mandate and operational needs, the organization is seeking expressions of interests (EOI) to participate in the upcoming solicitation for: a. The provision and delivery of High Frequency (HF) radio equipment, software, spares and accessories, and technical services required to establish and maintain reliable and secure HF communications in UN field missions for voice, data, and location/ position reporting functionality; b. HF Radio Transceivers should be Software Defined Radio (SDR) for HF Radio Communication Systems configured as: Fixed Base Stations; Vehicular Based Mobile Radios; Backpack portable radio (commonly known as “Manpack”); c. Provision of Interconnectivity/interoperability gateway equipment or equivalent technology solutions to facilitate communications between the users of the various technologies and associated equipment including HF, VHF, UHF, Satellite phones, mobile (cellular) phones, computers, and other internet protocol (IP) devices that are utilized by mission personnel including and troop-contributing countries/police-contributing countries (TCC/PCC); d. Professional Services (Technical Support) including design, installation, preventive and corrective maintenance of the HF Radio systems and solutions delivered, on-site as well as remotely for UN Secretariat global locations; e. Training of UN personnel especially field missions’ technicians on the design, installation, operation, preventive and corrective maintenance of HF Radio Systems; f. After Sales Support during Warranty and Non-Warranty periods. The full technical requirements and details will be provided within a formal solicitation document (Request for Proposal) to be issued at a later stage soon after the closing date for this EOI. It is anticipated that a system contract for the provision of High Frequency (HF) Radio Systems and related services will be established for an initial period of three (3) years, with option to extend for two (2) additional one (1) year periods.
