Description
The United Nations Mission in Sudan (UNMIS) hereby solicits Expression of Interest (EOI) from competent companies for the provision of telephone and data cabling installations in 28 County Support Bases (CSBs) to UNMIS at the following locations: CSBs Locations: Kapoeta, Melut, Akobo, Mayom, Raja, Turalei, Aweil, Adok, Renk, Kodok, Ayod, Pibor and Yambio. The remainder fifteen (15) CSBs will be identified. Description of General Requirements:  Installation of indoor telephone and data cabling (Cat 5e/6e).  Installation of outdoor telephone and data cabling (Cat 5e/6e, multi-pair, Fibre optic).  Digging of trenches 1 meter deep by 50cm wide connecting/interconnecting certain points of buildings.  Constructing metal covered manholes (1m x 1m x 1m) encased in concrete, and capable of accommodating an average size individual.  The metal-covered manholes must be placed at each end of the trenches to facilitate the laying of telecommunications cables.  A relay/midpoint manhole must be placed along any channel that exceeds 50 meters. Draw cords/ropes must be placed in the PVC piping between each manhole.  Installation of 20cm diameter [or nearest available size] PVC piping to run within the trenches.  Installation of 20, 30, 50 to 100 pair external/underground telephone cables to be terminated on Krone blocks fixed to an outdoor/indoor Independent Distribution Frame (IDF) panel at designated positions on/in buildings.  Terminate Cat 5e/6e cables at designated points of indoor cable trunking.
