Dear Sir or Madam,

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), one of the 16 specialized agencies of the United Nations (UN) system of organizations, is dedicated to promoting the use and protection of intellectual property throughout the world, including the administration of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT).  The Organization has its headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.

WIPO has now issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) in order to select a supplier for the provision of translation services of PCT abstracts, International Search Reports (ISRs), International Preliminary Reports on Patentability (IPRPs) and Written Opinions of the Searching Authority (WOSAs) from Japanese into English, and the translation of patent-related documents upon request.

**All offers already received by WIPO will not be opened until the expiration of the new deadline. Companies having already submitted an offer are allowed to amend their offers by submitting revised proposals within the new deadline and following the RFP instructions (e.g. addressed, sealed envelopes, etc.).

Interested companies are invited to download the full set tender documents from the WIPO Procurement Web site under the number PTD/11/001 at the following address:

Proposals must be prepared in English and must be received by WIPO at its Geneva address on or before April 18, 2011.
