Much of the violence has been linked to clashes between the eastern region's Beni Amer, Beja, and Nuba communities over water resources, which have seen dozens of people killed in Port Sudan and other cities. However, the country's long-running economic crisis and deteriorating living conditions have significantly contributed to the escalating tensions.AdviceThose in Sudan are advised to monitor the situation, anticipate transportation disruptions, avoid all protests as a precaution, and adhere to all instructions issued by local authorities.Given this unpredictable situation - will the delivery times be flexible - in the event violence breaks out within the Port of Khartoum or the Khartoum International Airport - OR - once again - is the UNOPS mission prepared to accept the vehicles within either of the port grounds - immediately after delivery same?Dear Bidder,Thank you for the request. New clarification added: 1. Regarding payment terms 30days after delivery, we prefer payment against Waiver "Transfer of ownership" and Customs Clearance is Purchaser responsibility as we had an exeperience before with UNOPS: PO No: 3014119 reserved 2 vehicles for one year then canceled the PO!2. USD Payment should be to our Offshore Account in UAE without mentioning Sudan. Please advise. Thanks,Dear Bidder,Thank you for your email.1- In regard to the customs clearance, UNOPS will carry out customs clearance. The tender will be amended accordingly.Regarding the PO 3014119, as you know, the Ministry of Finance under the previous regime did not issue the F1 without any reasons despite the efforts made by UNOPS Sudan office in this respect. UN agencies would get the F1 as normal under the new transitional government as per the agreements. Thus, the payment term shall be the same.2- Yes, your payment in case of award of the contract, can be wired to your account in UAE.Best regards
