Overview of the Fund 1. The United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (“UNJSPF” or “the Fund”) was established by the General Assembly of the United Nations ("UN") to provide retirement, death, disability and related benefits for the staff of the UN and other international intergovernmental organizations admitted to membership in the Fund. 2. The Office of Investment Management (“OIM”) of the UNJSPF is responsible for managing a multi-asset class, global investment portfolio worth over US$69 billion as of 30 June 2020, about 84% of which is actively managed internally. OIM invests globally in over 100 countries and regions distributed in over 26 currencies in both publicly traded securities as well as private capital investments. 3. The Technology team in OIM is responsible for providing Information Communication and Technology (ICT) services to support the Fund’s investments. The team is servicing both public (Fixed Income & Equity) and private markets (Private Equity, Real Estates and Real Assets) activities including Business Applications, ICT Infrastructure, ICT security, ICT Service Desk, Data Management and Programme Management. There are currently 16 IT staff. 4. Please consult the Fund’s website at http://oim.unjspf.org/ for additional information and a breakdown of the Fund’s assets per type of investment. Purpose of this Request 5. OIM IT professionals are constantly learning about new technology and keeping abreast of available solutions in order to understand the applicability, and limitations, of information and communication services to the work of the office. 6. OIM is seeking ICT Research and Advisory services from an experience provider in order to support its staff by providing them access to the most current information, research, trends, recommendation and advice on technology and other relevant topics relating to the operations of the UN Pension Fund. Expert opinion from analysts and unbiased market research, best industry practices, including leading products and services, are essential for the team to achieve ongoing improved efficiency and modernization of technology while implementing a Target Operating Model (TOM) programme. 7. Please send a presentation including all necessary documents that would best demonstrate your solution to answer the following required functionalities for OIM’s ICT Research & Advisory Services: a) Research Library: provide access to published technology market research reports, best practices, case studies, tools (toolkits), and templates b) Analyst Review: provide access to experienced and expert advisors for personalized and tailored consultations c) Leadership & Strategic Advice: provide access to dedicated senior executive partners for leadership, coaching and strategic advice d) Workshops: facilitate on-site team workshops focusing on a wide range of pre-defined topics currently relevant to the team, from training, process to strategic workshops. e) Peers Insights & Networking: access to peers in similar organizations to facilitate discussions of common issues, insights, benchmarking and networking f) Conferences: provide access to several IT conferences and events to stay on top of emerging trends, keep abreast of the latest technologies, gain network opportunities, and develop new skills. 8. Additionally, please send a presentation including all necessary documents that would best demonstrate your services to answer the following optional functionalities for OIM’s ICT Consulting Services: a) Provide actionable insights, advice and tools tailored and specific to OIM’s needs and projects b) Provide on-site analysis, customized strategies and tailored deliverables combining industry framework and best practices with OIM’s internal policies and standards c) Provide access to a roster of consultants with expertise in customizing and deploying flexible delivery models to fit OIM’s unique needs and help with the strategy and implementation planning. d) Provide access to Subject Matter Experts in the areas of interest for OIM especially in industry analysis, product evaluations, implementation approaches and industry best practices. 9.
