Description
1. To conduct a rapid nutrition situational analysis at the beginning of the project and an end of project impact assessment on food practices, consumption patterns and based on secondary data, identify the nutrition status of children below five years of age among households residing in seven project sites, located in eight Districts where Sustainable Agricultural Intensification and Food Security Project (SAIP) is operational in Rwanda.
2. To develop nutrition education module and training materials containing information on kitchen gardens preparation, management, Poultry rearing and management, bio - fortified crops importance and social behaviour change communication taking into consideration the production and nutritional consumption effect. The service provider should also refer to existing related nutrition education materials to ensure that the added value is brought within the developed ones.
3. To deliver the training of trainers on kitchen garden, poultry rearing, bio-fortified seeds and social behaviour communication approach to selected farmer promoters from the Sustainable Agricultural Intensification and Food Security Project (SAIP) intervention areas as mentioned above.
4. To provide mentorship, coaching and technical backstopping support to the implementation of the Farmer Field School rollout to be delivered by the SAIP
5. To develop a nutrition mainstreaming strategy into SAIP project interventions, by reviewing first the existing nutrition mainstreaming entry points and make suggestions for making planned project interventions more nutrition sensitive agriculture.
