Please find attached the test results for TSS, TDS, COD & BOD, for your kind information.

I would like to share with you some inquiries that we received from a potential vendors along with our answers. For your kind information. Q1- As informed in pre-bid meeting TSS is 1,200 mg/L and BOD is 1,300 mg/L and the source of sludge is septic tank. If the sludge is coming from Septic Tank, then TSS and BOD cannot be so less. We request you to kindly do analysis of sludge once more and share us the data. If TSS is only 1,200 mg/L in a flow of 15 m3/day that indicates solid in sludge per day is 18 Kg only. We need data of TSS, TDS, COD, BOD and Calorific Value for the correct design of the system. A1-Test results for TSS, TDS, COD & BOD will be shared once received from the Laboratory, tentatively on Tuesday July 21st. Please note that the available labs in country were not able to perform the Calorific Value test. Q2- Is the Bidder has to do transportation of all equipment including custom clearance up to the project site? Please share the project site address OR equipment delivery address. Should Vendor's scope limited to CIF - Lebanon basis. If up to the site, we want to know how far is site from landing port. What are the custom duties & other charges, means total import cost for Lebanon. A2- The Vendor’s transportation scope is limited to CIF Beirut basis. UNICEF will handle the customs clearance process and transportation from the port to the site location, taken not that the consignee on the shipping document ie. Bill of lading and/or Airway bill, packing list and invoice should be under the name of UNICEF Lebanon. Q3- We have a concern about safety of our equipment and man-power coming to site for I&C activities, as the site may be close to Syria. Please inform about the site security & its nearby area security. A3- The Contractor shall be responsible for the safety of the equipment and man-power until handing over of works. Q4- Does the bidder have to do all the works including civil works as mentioned under “Consideration” in Annex 1 – TOR. Please confirm. A4- The bidder shall provide guidelines/all the technical design/reservations/technical specifications for the preparation of the necessary civil works to be done to adapt the existing WWTP to receive the OP unit. The major civil work will be undertaken by a local contractor hired by UNICEF. The bidder will be responsible for the drawings, instructions, and follow-up of the implementation of the civil works to ensure that the civil works are performed as per the Bidder request before the work handover
