EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

 

 

On behalf of the following organizations hosted in the VIC:

  •      International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)
  •      United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV) and United Nations Office on Drugs     and  Crime (UNODC)
  •      United Nations Industrial Development Organizations (UNIDO)
  •      Preparatory Commission for the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO).

 

UNIDO invites Expression of Interest for the provision of a comprehensive study and assessment of all common and joint services in the Vienna International Centre (as listed below), with a view to providing, inter-alia, concrete proposals/recommendations on possible full/partial outsourcing of the operation and management of each of the common and joint services and/or explore other viable better value for money options together with solutions, to ensure the equitable distribution of tasks amongst the VBOs. The assessment shall, among others, take into account the scope of services, the financial and operational setup, and the overhead and administrative costs absorbed by the managing organizations. 

 

The VIC “Common and Joint Services” include:

  • Joint Medical Service
  • Buildings Management Service
  • Catering
  • Security and Safety Services
  • Garage Administrati
  • Conference Management, Interpretation and Translation,
  • Printing and Reproduction
  • Communication Services
  • Official Travel Documents
  • Library
  • Commissary
  • Language Training
  • Child Care Centre.

 

Operation and management costs of the VIC “Common and Joint Services” are shared among the four major organizations hosted in the VIC. 

            

Interested consulting companies should submit the following documents and information together with their expression of interest:

  • brief description of the company
  • cost estimate for the execution of the required services 
  • proof of legal existence
  • financial capacity
  • reference list of major clients for the last 5 years.

 

UNIDO may accept or reject any expression of interest without thereby incurring any liability or any obligation to inform the affected companies of the grounds for UNIDO’s action.  The participation of the interested companies in this exercise would be at no costs to UNIDO. Only qualified companies would be invited to participate in the subsequent bidding exercise governed by the rules and procedures of UNIDO.  The expression of interest and accompanying documents must be received not later than 4 June 2007 and should be forwarded to the following postal address:
