Description
As part of its operations worldwide, WFP transports millions of metric tons of foodstuffs and other equipment annually. This food and goods are generally stored in WFP warehouses in the countries we operate.
While WFP strives to utilise permanent warehousing solutions, there are many locations and many operational contexts where this is not possible. In these environments WFP uses more short term storage solutions to meet both its needs and also those of its operating partners.
MSUs are one of the most economic, flexible and speedy types of structures that can serve this purpose.
This procurement opportunity integrates considerations for at least one sustainability indicator. However, it does not meet the requirements to be considered sustainable.
