Required Services
To improve the capacities of business support organisations/service providers, SMEs and capacitate women
farmers in the shea sector, the project requests support of an organisation with relevant expertise in the
sector to contribute to the SheTrades West Africa project in Guinea. ITC is seeking an experience
organisation to support at least 3 service providers, 10 SMEs and ultimately reach 400 women farmers and
their households in Guinea to contribute to improved livelihoods of poor women farmers in the shea value
chain.
Develop the capacities of business support organisations and service providers to serve MSMEs and
women producers with improved services.
Develop the competitiveness of SMEs (especially women-owned businesses) through trainings and
coaching
Build the capacity of women farmers through increased capacities of service providers, with trainings
on production, processing, and quality and business management etc. based on the needs
assessment conducted by ITC.
Create a plan for market linkages between SMEs, cooperatives and international buyers
ITC expects the selected bidder to deliver a workshops and practical trainings with service providers
or business support organisations, training with SMEs and with women farmers and their farming
households on topics identified during the needs assessment in Conakry and Haute Guinea, Guinea.
