  1. Background
  1. The World Food Programme (WFP) is the world's largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide, delivering food assistance in emergencies and working with communities to improve nutrition and build resilience. Each year, WFP assists some 80 million people in around 80 countries.
  2. The WFP Communications Division seeks to contract Public Relations Services to gain media coverage of campaigns, activations and highlighted WFP programmes.
  3. Specifically, WFP seeks expertise of companies in the following sectors:
    1. Campaign-based public relations (Job Lot 1)
    2. Reputational risk management (Job Lot 2)
    3. Media Distribution Services (Job Lot 3)
  4. WFP invites eligible suppliers to express their interest in providing one or more of the above-listed services.

 

  1. The purpose of this EOI
  1. The purpose of this request for EOI is to identify suppliers with verified technical and financial capacity to provide the services. Eligible suppliers will be invited to participate in the bidding process for the proposed tender.
  2. Eligibility to participate in the proposed tender will be determined on the basis of:

Company experience working with global brands in one or more of the above-named areas; and specifically, proven expertise in one of the three areas mentioned above:

  1. Job Lot1: Demonstrated ability to firmly place social issues into pop culture audiences
  2. Job Lot 2: Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive reputational risk assessments and design and implement effective mitigation strategies
  3. Job Lot 3: Access to media database and possibility to build and maintain global journalists and outlet lists
  1. After the deadline for submission of responses has passed, WFP will evaluate responses received and will notify eligible participants of the outcome of the evaluation.

 

  1. How to prepare and submit your Expression of Interest
  1. In order to participate in the pre-qualification exercise, companies are required to provide the following:
  • EOI Response Form;
  • Supplier Background Check Form (Annex 1) – Including a brief Company Description/Presentation
  • Supplier Financial Status Form (Annex 2);
  • Past Experience Form (Annex 3) - Including any relevant experience with global companies/organizations (e.g. Fortune 500)
  • List of other documents to be submitted for each above-named sector, when applicable:

 

  1. A short list of past campaigns that placed social issues at the heart of pop culture
  2. A short list of reputational risk assessments and process structures that were set up for selected clients
  3. A short overview of distribution services offered 
  • Signatory.

 

  1. All supporting documentation listed above shall be prepared in accordance with the instructions provided and sent to WFP Procurement by email to HQ.tenders@wfp.org. The deadline for response to this request for EOI:
