The ILO is announcing a Request for Proposal (RfP) from qualified research agencies to conduct a study as part of the project on “Technical support to Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) for improving and expanding access to health care services in India- an approach to formalization”.  For further details about the study, please refer to the attached RfP documents.

The study’s objective is to assess the behaviour, needs and motivations of informal economy workers’ and/or economic units’ regarding health care insurance and the perceived challenges they face to join the ESIS.  The focus will be on those workers and economic units who meet the current eligibility criteria of ESIS as well as those not eligible but with the capacity to contribute.
