The United Nations Support Office in Somalia (UNSOS) has a requirement for the Provision of Third Party Material Handling Equipment (MHE)/Construction Equipment and Vehicle Operation Services in Somalia (CN). The successful Contractor will be expected to provide the following services within UNSOS/AMISOM camps in Somalia: i. Conduct road maintenance and road repair, ii. Perform obstacle clearance, iii. Build ditches, berms and trenches; iv. Perform excavating, scraping, grading & compacting works, v. Earth and bulk material moving activities, vi. Ground preparation works, vii. Construction of earth structures, viii. Filling of defense barriers, ix. Loading of waste management equipment and x. Operation of Material Handling Equipment as per requirement, in accordance to manufacturer guidelines. xi. Operation of all type of UN Vehicles in mission area xii. Ensure that safe driving practices are adhered to including local driving codes and internally agreed standards for both vehicles and MHE/construction equipment.  The services are required in the following locations: a) Sector 1 – Mogadishu including Baledogle b) Sector 2 – Dhobley c) Sector 3 – Baidoa d) Sector 4 – Belet Weyne e) Sector 5 – Jowhar f) Sector 6 – Kismaayo g) Garrowe h) Hargeisa i) Galkayo    For this requirement, UNSOS will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly and considers inviting those companies which will have expressed their interest and provided initial relevant information as to their ability to fulfill UNSOS’s requirement. Interested companies must complete the Vendor Response Form and Return it to the attention of UNSOS Chief Procurement Officer no later than the closing date indicated, directly through UNGM or via (a) e-mail as PDF attachment to unsoa-procurement@un.org and njiinu@un.org. Vendor Response Forms must be completed in full. UNSOS reserves the right to reject Expressions of Interest documents that are incomplete or are received after the stated deadline.
